Visit " the other Glacier Bay". LeConte Glacier Bay is North America's southern most, tide water glacier. The fjord is a haven for hundreds of Harbor Seals and their pups. The glacier calves frequently filling the bay with beautiful blue icebergs. Our jet boats are very maneuverable and can efficiently navigate around the ice floes that tend to block the bay.
LeConte's 10-mile fjord boasts a large population of Harbor Seals and their pups. The protected waters of the bay serve as a breeding, birthing and rearing site for Harbor Seals. June is the best month to see seal pups on the icebergs. The tour includes a visit to the fishing village of Petersburg, known as "Alaska's Little Norway".
