There is nothing quite like Orso in Alaska. The rich red and brown colors, ample wood, fireplaces, faux antique photographs and Italian music give the downtown restaurant a unique flavor. The wine cellar is deep, with Italian wine appropriately highlighted. Fresh Alaskan seafood is worked into many of the dishes to the chefs credit and there is not shortage of olive oil and garlic. Osso bucco, veal and zesty pastas round out the bountiful menu. Orso has become a very poular Downtown restaurant--right next door to its similarly owned cousin, the Glacier Brew House.
