Overlooking the Gastineau Channel, above Taku Smokeries, with high ceilings and an wall of windows on the water, lots of local harwoods and a beach rock fireplace, Twisted fish is a wild place for wild fish! Called "Juneau's premier dining experience", they feature wild Alaskan seafood with a waterfront view. A large selection of wines and local tap beer- a Juneau favorite waterfront seafood restaurant with outdoor seating. Great location next to Mount Roberts Tramway in the Taku Smokeries Building at 550 South Franklin Street, the Twisted Fish Co. features local seafood like sauteed Alaskan Rockfish and Gingered Ahi in addition to local salmon and halibut. There's also a wide selection of gourmet pizzas and pastas, salads. Over 30 wines are offered by the bottle and/or glass at the restaurant's wine bar.

The Twisted Fish Co. operates seasonally, May 1 through Oct. 1 from 11 am to 10 pm seven days a week. Prices are resonable, starting at $5.95 to about the mid-$20s for king crab legs.

Garlic Twisters - roasted with mozzarella, ricotta & herbs, baked in our rolled pizza crust. Taku Smoked Salmon Plate - combo plate of smoked salmon, lox & ikura with mini bagels, cream cheese, red onions & capers. Southeast AK Oysters on the half shell - seven small, sweet Alaskan oysters, served with lemon & our homemade kick'n' cocktail sauce (when available). Alaskan Steamer Clams - a bowl of steamed local clams, in white wine, garlic & lemon herbed broth (when available), two Bordino bread knots for dipping! Shrimp Cakes - a trio of Chef Gourlay's special recipe Alaskan shrimp cakes with Thai sauce. Coconut Salmon Strips - the freshest of salmon from right next door, in season, served golden crisp in coconut breading with berry chutney.

Clam Chowder - Capt'n Ron's recipe, steamer clams & only the finest ingredients. Twisted Pasta Caesar Salad - tender rotini noodles with crisp romaine, garlic croutons & parmesan in our tangy Caesar dressing, served with warm Bordino bread sticks & topped with taku smoked salmon, grilled halibut, or Alaskan king crab. Popeye's Ahi Spinach Salad - fresh crisp leaves of spinach with water chestnuts, hand tossed with light sesame vinaigrette dressing & shredded romano cheese - all topped with charred Ahi.

Ginger Ahi - a delightful tuna fillet lightly grilled & seasoned with tropical ginger sauce on a bed of sticky rice -served on the rare side, unless otherwise requested. Twisted Beef Kabobs - two Marinated steak strip kabobs & vegetable kabob w/ mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, onions on a bed of sticky rice with a light hosin sauce. Surf & Turf Twister - char-grilled marinated beef kabob served with sticky rice & an Alaskan king crab leg, served with lemon wedges and drawn butter.

Tempura Halibut - Traditional Alaskan recipe, battered halibut chunks - fried golden brown & served with lemon & twisted fish tarter sauce. Twisted Fish Tacos - a pair of fresh corn tortillas filled with spicy sauteed halibut & sweet cole slaw served alongside sticky Spanish rice, pico de gallo & chipotlo sour cream.

All entree dishes come with choice of twisted fries or house style orzo pasta w/ pesto & Bordino breadstick. Alaska Rockfish Saute - our Chef's favorite, a whitefish fillet, pan seared in white wine, lemon, caper, shallots, picatta style. Halibut Fillet - broiled Alaskan halibut with our own berry chutney on the side. House Special Red King Crab - a pair of Alaska's finest crab legs, served steaming hot, with lemon wedges and drawn butter. Add one leg. Alaska Salmon Fillet - broiled Alaskan wild salmon brushed with butter & herbs with dill aioli on the side. Top Sirloin Steak - char-broiled the way you like it & topped with golden fried onion hay.

All twisted fish burgers served with a choice of seasoned twisted fries or house made cole slaw - sub onion ringer. Twisted Fish Burger - our Alaskan halibut fillet with a parmesan crust, served golden crisp on a burger bun, with lettuce, tomato, red onion & dill aioli. Grilled Halibut Burger - halibut fillet grilled to perfection with melted American cheese, served on a grilled burger bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion & twisted tarter sauce. American Buffalo Burger - a delicious alternative - tasty, extra-lean, broiled burger from Northern Bison, served on a grilled burger bun with all the fixin's. Grilled Chicken Burger - breast of chicken, char boiled, w/ mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion on the side. Beef Burgers or Black Bean Veggie Burger - served with lettuce, tomato, onion & mayo.

8 in pie made to order & baked to perfection served bubbling hot! New York Pepperoni Pie Pizza Margarita - fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, marinara & blended white cheeses. The Sicilian - spicy Italian sausage, yellow onions, traditional pepperoni, marinara & cheese blend. Pietros Pesto Pizza - homemade pesto ricotta base, roasted red peppers, artichokes, sundried tomatoes, garlic, mozzarella & parmesan blended cheeses. The C-zar Pie-adine - our soon to be famous pizza crust, topped with our infamous bubbly three cheese blend topped with a sensational Caesar Salad. Giorgio's Pie - local taku smoked salmon lox, capers, red onions, with ikura salmon caviar, baked atop our flavorful bubbly three cheese blend. Twisted Fish Pie - taku smoked salmon, local bay shrimp, fresh mushrooms, tomatoes & red onions, baked with our bubbly three cheese blend.

Smoked Alaskan Salmon Fettucini - sauteed taku smoked salmon & zucchini in our own Alfredo sauce. Crab & Prawn Angel Hair - tender angel hair pasta with sweet Alaskan King crab & sautéed prawns brought together in a light pesto oil & white wine sauce, artichoke hearts, shredded parmesan cheese. Linguini De Mare - traditional dish with Southeast steamer clams, shrimp, salmon & halibut in a light & zesty red sauce, served over linguini noodles. DESSERTS
Ice Cream, two scopes- vanilla or pecan praline. Brownies & Cream - fudge brownie w/ walnuts, with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream & chocolate sauce. Twisted Ice House Cake - rolled raspberry sponge cake w/ vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, crushed walnuts & chocolate drizzle. Turtle Pie - praline almond vanilla ice cream pie, homemade with chocolate crust & caramel topping.
